A look at why baseball has become
Taiwan’s national sport. Yuan gives his
insight into the careers of two
well-known Taiwanese pitchers -- Wang
Chien-ming and Kuo Hong-chih. Wang
joined the Washington Nationals after
leaving the New York Yankees because of
his shoulder injury and Kuo reached
personal record highs in his pitching
career last year. Yuan also talks about
the unfair treatment that Taiwanese
taekwondo athlete Yang Shu-chun received
at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou,
China as well as the challenges to be
faced by Taiwanese baseball players who
are interested in joining the Major
League.
